A Variety of Worship Styles

Zoar offers several distinct worship styles on Sunday morning.  Our 8:00am service is traditional.  The worship music is mostly hymns featuring a Senior Adult choir.  Our 9:30am service is blended with some traditonal hymns and contemporary songs.  This service features the worship choir, praise band and praise team.  The 11:00am auditorium class also includes worship elements, such as special music and congreational songs. Each service contains a Biblically based sermon with life application.   At Zoar you can find a worship style that suits you!

We'd Love for You to Join Us

Zoar is conveniently located at 11848 Hooper Road in Central.

What to Expect

Attending a new place can be intimidating. Will there be people like me? Will I stand out? Will I be asked to do something weird or silly? Rest assured you will feel right at home at Zoar. We respect the pace at which individual people connect. Whether you've attended church your whole life or never stepped foot in a church, Zoar is a safe place for you, regardless of your background. Everyone is welcome! We invite you to come and take a look around. What you'll find is a group of genuine, friendly people. Zoar is a "real place for real people." Part of our authenticity lies in the fact that no one claims to have it all together. We are works in progress.

How should I dress? Zoar is a "come as you are" church. Jeans and ties are equally welcomed.

What's available for my kids?  We love kids! Our nursery is safe, clean and staffed by a loving group of teachers
that will provide the exceptional care for your "little ones".  Upon the arrival of your child you will receive an information card to complete. If something should happen during the service we will text you. Children are always welcome in adult worship and those who are in grade school are highly encouraged to worship with their parents, but we do have an elementary Kidz Church that meets during the 9:30 worship service, if your kids would enjoy a service designed more with them in mind. We also have great Sunday School classes for kids of all ages offered during the 9:30am and 11:00am services.

What if I'd like to pray with someone? There is almost always ministry time offered at the end of every worship service. The Zoar pastors are always available to pray with you. You can also email personal prayer requests or simply fill out the "Prayer Request" section on the information tab when you attend.

What type of music will there be? We see worship as the door that enters God’s presence. Our worship teams and choirs seek to lead us through that door each week. Our 8:00 am service provides a familiar atmosphere of worship through inspirational anthems from the choir and orchestra and songs of the faith that have touched the hearts of believers for many years. Our 9:30 am service provides a dynamic worship experience through modern worship songs
relevant to today’s culture. We seek to bring the timeless message of the gospel to the ever changing and fast paced world of today. For us, worship isn’t as much about style as it is heart.

Will I be asked to give money? Offerings are given as an act of worship for attendees who call Zoar their home. We teach and believe in biblical stewardship. For new visitors, your presence is a gift to us. We want you to be blessed without feeling any obligation to give.

How long do the worship services usually last? Our worship services will last between one hour and an hour and fifteen minutes.

Please pick up a bulletin on your way in. This has a list of announcements, information about the church service, and ministry opportunities. A Welcome Table is located in the hallway behind the Worship Center. Here you can ask questions and find out about the church. We pray your experience at Zoar will be the highlight of your week. Let us know how we can serve you.
