A Variety of Worship Styles

Zoar offers several distinct worship styles on Sunday morning.  Our 8:00am service is traditional.  The worship music is mostly hymns featuring a Senior Adult choir.  Our 9:30am service is blended with some traditonal hymns and contemporary songs.  This service features the worship choir, praise band and praise team.  The 11:00am auditorium class also includes worship elements, such as special music and congreational songs. Each service contains a Biblically based sermon with life application.   At Zoar you can find a worship style that suits you!

We'd Love for You to Join Us

Zoar is conveniently located at 11848 Hooper Road in Central.

Global Missions

Cooperative Program -- What it does     top_left.gif

Churches in Louisiana work together through our state convention (www.lbc.org) to support a wide array of ministries and missions including: evangelism efforts, children’s homes, volunteer missions, missions education, new churches, colleges and universities, collegiate ministries, camps, and much more.

Through the International Mission Board (www.imb.org), Southern Baptists support approximately 5,624 missionaries who are engaging 655 people groups, of populations greater than 100,000, around the world.

New churches numbering over 1,364 are planted through the efforts of more than 5,304 North American Missionaries, whose efforts are coordinated through your North American Mission Board (www.namb.net) and individual state conventions.

Working together, Southern Baptists saw 855,756 new believers baptized last year!

Six Southern Baptist seminaries (Southern, Southeastern, Midwestern, Southwestern, Golden Gate, and New Orleans) educate in excess of 16,000 pastors, missionaries, and future church leaders each year.

The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission is dedicated to addressing social, moral, and ethical concerns, with particular attention to their impact on American families and their faith. They also provide print resources that offer scriptural responses to the moral and ethical problems of our culture.

Although they receive no Cooperative Program support, LifeWay Christian Resources, Guidestone Financial Resources and the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) actively promote Cooperative Program in publications and missions resources.
