BCM at LSU

The Mission Statement of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Louisiana State University is “Knowing Christ and Making Him Known.” The BCM is a religious organization serving the students on the LSU campus. The goals of the BCM are to 1. Reach students for Christ.  2. Connect students with a local church.  3. Strengthen students in their faith. 4. Mobilize students for missions and leadership.

Last year over 800 LSU students attended one or more ministries.  Student activities include Monday Lunch (average 150), TNT praise and worship (average 140), Bible Study Groups (average 150), International Student Weekly Dinner (over 300 attended), Mission Arlington, TX (60 participated), Christmas in Chinatown, NY (8 participated), Colorado Missions Ski Trip (40 participated), Mexico Missions (140 participated), Spain Missions (8 participated), Puerto Rico Disaster Relief (18 participated), Church Camp Staffers/Church Interns (30 served), and Summer Missionaries (22 participated in Canada, Wales, England, France, Poland, and East Asia).

During the last school year, we had 10 students confessed Christ as their Savior.

The BCM staff salary is provided by the Louisiana Baptist Convention.  The operating funding for the ministry is provided by the local churches and associations.  Zoar Baptist Church is one of these sponsors.  Thank you for your support!
