Our Missionary in Southeast Asia

Although my name and country of service cannot be shared in this form, I do pray that the Father fills in where my words cannot. I am an English language teacher serving in a closed country in Southeast Asia, and for security reasons, my name and country of service are best not published. I have taught overseas since August 2012, and for the vast majority of that time Zoar Baptist Church has been a faithful prayer and financial supporter of the work the Lord has for me in Southeast Asia.

My Asian students often ask, "Why did you come to our country? Why do you teach us?" And my answer always is, "I was a teacher before I came to your country, and I will probably teach after I leave. Although I could teach students in my country, I am here to teach you because I love you and the Korean people." I am a teacher, who just happens to teach in a closed country in Southeast Asia. Not everyone will feel that they are to 'go' and with certainty, I can say that not everyone will feel they are to go to the country where I teach. But I do! In this sense, I am the 'arrow', but all arrows fly only because a 'bow' supports them. Zoar is part of that 'bow' for me. Thank you!
