Mission Statement

Our All Access Special Needs Ministry partners with families of children, preteens, and adults with disabilities to create a loving and supportive environment where everyone can hear, know, and love the name of Jesus. We are committed to helping each person grow in their faith and follow Jesus in a way that reflects their God-given design and celebrates their purpose in His Kingdom.

About Us

About Us

Our dedicated team of teachers are passionate about helping your children, preteens, and adults grow in their relationship with Jesus! Together, our team brings over 137 years of combined teaching experience. For added peace of mind, we have nurses on call, and all team members are CPR certified to ensure a safe and caring environment.

All Access Special Needs Ministry

At Zoar, we are committed to supporting families by helping find the best class placement to meet each child’s unique needs. Our Special Needs Ministry offers two program options:

1. Inclusive Program
Children and young adults participate in age-appropriate classrooms alongside their peers. A trained buddy may be provided to offer additional support and help with activities.

2. Zoar All Access Class (Self-Contained)
Designed for children and young adults who may not thrive in a typical classroom setting, this class offers a specialized environment tailored to their individual needs.

Why is our ministry called All Access?

We named our ministry All Access because it is an invitation to ALL. An invitation to rest, be known, and to encounter the love of Jesus in a space that is intentionally prepared for you!

A Brief History of All Access

Our Special Needs Ministry began in 1998 when Debbie Marbury, who studied Special Needs  education, felt called to start a class at Zoar. With support from the ministerial staff and the help  of Crystal Wall Langlois, a licensed occupational therapist, the ministry launched during that  year’s Ministry Fair.  The class originally met in the gym, but in 2005, following Hurricane Katrina, it relocated to the  youth building to make room for firefighters staying at the church. We remained there until  moving into our new, dedicated classroom upstairs in the A Building—located just to the left as  you exit the elevator.  From the beginning, every team member has felt led by the Lord to serve individuals with  disabilities, regardless of age or diagnosis. Our mission remains the same: to meet each person  where they are, share the love of Christ, and help them experience the gospel in a safe,  supportive environment—while giving families the freedom to worship and serve, knowing their  loved one is cared for.
